Zac Bausch is entering his first season as a coach with McLean Baseball. A proud product of Vienna Little League and Vienna Babe Ruth, Zac graduated from McLean High School in 2001 and was a four-year starter for The Highlanders. He was a three-time All Liberty District selection at catcher, as well as a two-time H.M. All-Met pick and the leading hitter on the 2000 Liberty District championship team that set the school record for wins. He also started at catcher for the 2000 Fairfax Barnstormers, winners of the Senior Division NABF national championship.
After McLean, Zac attended Washington & Lee University where he went on to be a three-time All Old Dominion Athletic Conference selection and was twice named to the ODAC Tournament team. He majored in Politics and Spanish Literature and graduated with a BA in 2005. He played baseball for five months in the Dominican Republic before attending law school at Mercer University in Macon, GA.
Zac was the head coach of Drainesville American Legion last summer and has served as an assistant with the McLean Cobras, McLean Hitmen and McLean 14U Babe Ruth All-Stars. He is currently a practicing attorney in Virginia and lives in Tysons Corner.
