Ray Zdancewicz is a second-year volunteer assistant at McLean High School who will be working extensively with the team’s catchers during the 2010 season.  He has managed championship and All Star teams since 1991 in the McLean, Vienna, and Falls Church-Annandale Babe Ruth Leagues; the Falls Church Kiwanis and Vienna Little Leagues; and the Northern Virginia Junior CYO League.  He has also managed Fall franchise teams for Bishop O’Connell HS (DiamondJaxx) and coached Post 130, 225, and 270 in the District 17 American Legion program.
            Coach Zdancewicz graduated from Bishop O’Connell HS and is a member of the school’s athletic Hall of Fame.  He earned BS and ME degrees in Systems Engineering at the University of Virginia while also handling the pitching staff as a catcher on the baseball team.
            For the past 25 years, Coach Z has been employed by Abacus Technology Corporation; his current role is Vice President of Corporate Services.  He lives in Vienna with his wife Sandy and his three sons – Kevin, Matt, and Danny.
